Web Access: The "RS-Web" program allows clients to access our database and perform research, ordering and reporting on-line. Customers may also update the container descriptions and track the status of materials. DSI will provide training for employees using Web Access.
E-mail: We can e-mail reports to our clients who do not access RS-Web. We can receive data transmittals via e-mail. Also, customers may choose to correspond regarding inquiries about their accounts through this method. With our imaging capabilities, DSI is able to scan your valuable files and e-mail them to you.
Barcodes and Scanners: These enables DSI to store, track and transfer data instantaneously through the use of barcode labels for locations, containers, files, documents and magnetic media. Scanners are crucial to all our operations, enabling us to perform every warehouse function with ease. Our delivery staff uses them to track items that have been picked-up and delivered. We use our system about files and containers. 2-D Barcodes and their use with PDT 8000 Scanners are the latest advances from O'Neil Software. The 2-D barcode can store up to 800 characters more information than the traditional barcode. This new technology will help speed the process for large file or tape orders and their delivery. The newest version of the scanner can hold much larger quantities of information and can transmit this information wirelessly. This remote access will allow downloads of information from anywhere in our facility. Employees will not have to download at a workstation.
