MEDIA/VAULT STORAGE TAB:With more and more information being preserved on magnetic tape at higher densities, the care and understanding of the delicate nature of these materials is vital to the client relationship. Document Systems, Inc provides comprehensive media vault storage for clients with a variety of climate sensitive materials. Our vaults are maintained at 62 degrees and 45% humidity, and are monitored 24 hours a day by ADT Security. Access to the vaults is restricted and monitored. Each vault is a solid concrete structure within the framework of the Document Systems, Inc facility. The smaller vault is protected with a Halon fire suppression system, the larger vault by FM 200, to prevent water damage to fragile electronic and digital media.
Document Systems acquired additional software in 2010 specifically designed for management of critical data.
TapeTrack is a robust system featuring the following:
• Real-time inventory tracking
• Paperless media process
• Voice interface technology to eliminate human error
• Complete audit trail and chain-of-custody tracking of all media movements
• Ability to automate rotations and retentions to eliminate client paperwork
• User-friendly client interface for remote media library management
Items can be tracked individually or in containers. As well, tape rotation services are available and encouraged as a standard practice for businesses with backup systems in place.
